Heaven on the Headwaters
A narrative collection of stories, history, and facts about the High, Fishtrap, and Rush Lakes system
The one and only first edition of 500 books arrived in December, 2016. Reviews to date have been fabulous and the authors were recently informed that the book won a silver medal in the non-fiction, Great Lakes Region category of the 2017 Independent Book Publishers Award (IPPY) Contest. Currently, we have distributed 400 volumes, have recovered approximately 96% of the production cost and raised nearly $900 for our Clean Boats Clean Waters program. Once costs are recovered, 100% of proceeds go directly to the HFRLA.
The book is available directly through HFRLA for $45.00 per volume. The book continues to be for sale in several other places in the Boulder Junction area: Moondeer Gallery, McGann’s Wine Bar, Northern Highland Sports, the Boulder Junction library, and recently, Gooch’s A-1 Bar and Grill. These facilities sell the book for $49.95, about $5.00 more than through the Association and the retail facilities will have to charge state sales taxes.
There is an inventory of volumes in Madison, Rockford, and Chicago, so we hopefully can fill many orders without a shipping charge. If necessary, we can ship up to three books in a USPS flat-rate box for $13.60/box, and if you sweet-talk us, we might even personalize or gift-wrap them. Remember, there will be no second printing, so when these books are gone, you will have lost your chance! Contact us by calling 847-926-4282, or via info@HighFishtrapRushlakes.org or firstname.lastname@example.org or just visit one of the above establishments in the Boulder Junction area. There are only 80 books remaining - don't miss your chance to own one!
