Current Newsletters

HFRLA currently publishes two newsletters each calendar year, one in the spring and one in the fall. We gladly accept newsletter content from all of our members as long as it is relevant to our lakes or the surrounding communities.

We pride ourselves in having perhaps the best lake association newsletter in the Northwoods and much of that credit goes to our editor and designer, Leslie Gauberti.

If you have materials for publication or interesting photos or stories to tell, please contact us.

Annual Meeting

We hold our HFRLA annual meeting each year on the last Saturday of the month of June. The meetings start at 9 AM and are held at the Boulder Junction Community Center in the High-Fishtrap Lakes Room. The formal business meeting generally runs from 9 AM to 10:30 AM and is followed by an interesting guest speaker. We have a long tradition of closing the meeting with an informal, pot-luck luncheon - bring a dish to share, beverages, and tableware.

Minutes of meetings, agendas, nominees running for board of director positions, etc. will be posted in this section. This year's  meeting date is:

June 19, 2024

Should any member have an interest in running for a board of director position, please contact us and leave a detailed message.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Opportunities

We are always looking for individuals who have an interest in participating in association activities. If you have the time, you will find such participation will be very rewarding from a stewardship, social, and educational basis. These opportunities include board positions, boat landing monitoring, loon-watch/ranger activities, citizens water quality testing, adopt-a-shoreline invasive plant species monitoring, and any other activity you may feel promotes the health and well being of our lakes.
